Apple of my eye and joy of my life!

Wow, our little Nina-Bug has reached double digits. Her birthday was on a Wednesday, which is her big homework night, plus her piano lesson, so we just had a quick family celebration. Her she is with some of her loot!

The "Heeleys" we got for her ended up being too small, so Joslyn made out pretty well that night also--we just gave them to her. Now they can both "Heeley" to and from the bus stop.

For their tenth birthday our girls get treated to "GNO" (Girls' Night Out for those of you who don't listen to Miley Cyrus) with mom! We went to a hotel for swimming, pizza, a movie, and major girl talk. We had a great time--so fun and so good to have some one-on-one time with each other.

A big THANK YOU to Brett-he kept Mallory all night. We talked about post-poning, but he insisted that we go. He said he would bring Mallory to me if needed, but he is such a good daddy--he got her to take a bottle and remembered to get up with her when she was crying in the middle of the night :).

Also, Sabrina had her "Festival" on Saturday, and although we don't know her score yet, I am sure she did well because she was very prepared. She played "Sonatina in G" and "Majestic Mountain," both early intermediate pieces. REcently, she has been enjoying trying to sight read a few of the songs in Primary Children's Song Book and the Simplified Hymns book.
We are so proud of Sabrina...all her talents and accomplishments, but mostly because of the Christ-like young lady she is becoming.
We love you, Nina!

Blake Turns Two

The Kents hosted a birthday party for Bradley and Blake. After a yummy dinner, we had presents, cake, and ice cream. About half of the Bishop crew was there--us, Bradley and family, Barrett and family, and BeckyAnn and family.

Blake got some cool toys, including a musical tractor from Grandma Rupp, a tool box from Mom and Dad, and a "color wonder" book from Sabrina and Joslyn.

Here's the cool race track cake that Aunt BeckyAnn and Aunt Calli made him.

Has it really been two years since this sweet little boy joined our family?!! We love you, Blake!

It's a GIRL!

Introducing Mallory Jane Bishop. Born Dec 29 at 8:57 pm. Six pounds, 13 ounces. A long delivery, but not very difficult. She is as precious as can be and we love her so much already.

Just born! With Dr. Lovelace and nurse Amanda.

6 pounds, 13 ounces 19 1/2 inches

My friend Leslie was able to be Mallory's nurse, which was so fun for me. Here she is getting her first bath.

Her daddy said she was the cutest baby in the nursery.... hmmmm, a little biased perhaps.

Attack!! Her come big sis and big bro to visit!

Blake did give her this welcoming kiss, but since then has been pretty much oblivious to her arrival. I'm pretty sure that's actually a good thing.

Sabrina is the cutest little big sister. She is great with Mallory and so willing to lend a helping hand. Mallory is so lucky to have her for a big sister.

Joslyn is equally sweet with the baby. She told me that the first time she held Mallory she felt the Spirit so strongly that she almost started to cry.

Erin loves her new baby sister and will hold Mallory for 15 minutes at a time. So sweet!

Merry Christmas!

What a fabulous Christmas! For Christmas Eve, Barrett, Kendra, Boyd, BeckyAnn and kids came over for a yummy feast and the re-enactment of the nativity. (Try that with 6 kids under 4....) Then, lots of fun this morning! Brett (traditionally) slept in front of S and J's door so they didn't come up too early before E and B woke up. At about 8 am (we had had a late night) we let them all come in and see what Santa had brought. Good times. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
