Thanks to all of you who have called with concern for my unlucky state.
The good news: no pain, no surgery, I can still drive, and I get to sit on the couch and watch Brett do all the work. The bad news: it's extremely frustrating to not be able to do much of anything. I did get to watch the BBC edition of "Pride and Prejudice," all 6 hours of it. So good....I have wanted to watch if for a while. (It beats the Kiera Knightly version all to heck, although I liked that one too.) Thanks for letting me borrow it Jen.
I have an appt on Thursday--I'm not sure what for. Hopefully to find out that I am recovering faster than they ever thought possible and that I can get rid of these darn crutches immediately.
My mom is driving down this afternoon to save poor Brett. (Like I said, I just lie around all day--he's the one who has had to bear the brunt of it.) Many kind friends have offered to help during the day, but there's nothing like Grandma to come in and handle it all--Thanks Mom!!
Also, I have to say thanks to Sabrina and Joslyn--they have been so great. Brett is at meetings right now and they cleaned up breakfast and are taking care of B and E right now. They will also help me get them both ready for church. I'm so blessed to have them.

DARN IT, DARN IT, DARN IT!!
If I really did swear I would probably be using stronger language. This morning while out for a little jog, I slipped on a rock and yes, now I have a broken ankle and a big ol' boot and crutches. Fun, fun...
Brett stayed home today and tomorrow and then thank goodness for wonderful family and friends...if I haven't begged meals or childcare from you yet, you might want to check your caller ID before you answer the phone :)
The boot will probably be on for about 6 weeks, but I should be able to start bearing weight in about two. Wish me luck.

My Kiddos
For Mother's Day, I told Brett that I wanted a picture of all four kids together (quite a feat as you know). Then he ran off to an early morning meeting and I had to give myself my Mother's Day present....taking pictures on the front lawn just before heading to church.
Okay, okay, so before he ran off, he and the kids did fix me breakfast in bed and give me lots of adorable presents--including several priceless art projects.
I'm so lucky to be their mom!!

Not just an ordinary girl
Erin was reviewing gender again and pointed out that Blake is a boy, Daddy is a boy, Sabrina, Joslyn, and Mommy (yes, even me) are all girls.
"What about Erin?" I asked. "Are you a boy or a girl?"
"I'm a princess!" she says.
