Might as well laugh about it...

Sacrament meeting was completely crazy today. We made it there on time (10 minutes early actually!) and it started out well but during the passing of the sacrament things started to go downhill. Erin wouldn’t take a piece of bread and then threw a fit when I gave it back to the deacon. So out in the hall we went, with Blake in tow. After I got that issue resolved and things on our bench relatively calmed down, the RS sisters were supposed to sing the special number. I had planned to pass but one of my friends (with the nicest intentions) came up and insisted that I go sing because she had a cough and she could just sit with my kids. (Maybe I make it look easy??!!) I tried to put her off, but she was so insistent and we were starting to be noticed so I gave in and went up to the choir seats. Then all you-know-what broke loose. I tried not to watch but I do know that my friend ended up with Erin out in the hall, another kind soul ended up with Blake also out in the hall, and Joslyn and Sabrina managed with Mallory. After that I had a hard time getting Blake settled down. He made a run for his dad (up on the stand) and I had to chase him clear up to the stairs. Then, again! By this point, Mallory was also fussy and hungry so the three of us went out in the hall again and (wisely) just stayed put for the last 10 minutes of sacrament meeting. We were like the popcorn bench—up, down, up, down. I have just accepted that this is my life for now and it will be over before I know it. And I might even miss it.

Is Brett in the Bishopric? I must have missed that memo. I just can't relate to that;) Just kidding. Church is a wrestling match for us with a little bit of popcorn action, too. I hate it when it's the older ones giving me the most grief. Good thing people are willing to help, and yeah everyone keeps telling me I'll miss it so it must be true. . . Hang in there.
